Gucci Mane Has A New Record Deal
Not that this is high stakes news but yes, Rapper Gucci Mane has landed a new recording deal with the boys over at Asylum/Atlantic Records. From what I here to it also has something to do with his So Icey and Czar entertainment label.
That means more money. The album should drop later this summer, this will be his third one can you believe that? guess appearances on the album are listed as Pimp C, Rich Boy and the ever so outdated singing group Silk.
This is going to be a straight up down south project as the two noted producers are going to be Shawty Redd and Nitti.
“It was a great coup for us to land Gucci Mane,” Todd Moscowitz, President of Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group (ILG), said via statement. “He’s one of the most charismatic and acclaimed rappers on the street, with an extraordinary life story and the authenticity and talent to back it up.” “Gucci has been writing poetry and stories since he was ten-years-old, and it shows in the creativity and depth of his music. He is a brilliant rapper and a fantastic character who is injecting real originality and humor into the hip-hop landscape,” Atlantic Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman added, also via statement. “Since releasing his first album two years ago, he has emerged as a compelling true-life storyteller with a unique voice and
undeniable star power. I am thrilled to welcome Gucci
and his So Icey label into the Atlantic and Asylum
family.”
