Lupe Fiasco vs. Tribe Called Quest
If you watched VH1 Hip Hop Honors the other night, you would of saw Lupe fuc* up the lyrics to A Tribe Call Quest song. Lupe is continually running his mouth on why he thought it wasn’t a big deal to mess up their lyrics. After disrespecting the legacy of A Tribe Called Quest on the Okayplayer message boards, Lupe decided you know what? I’m gonna talk to VIBE.com too about his feelings on A Tribe Called Quest.
“[Tribe] didn’t sell 10 million records, so why would people think they had a blanket on the world like that? MC Hammer was way more popular to me than Tribe Called Quest.â€
“Because there’s kids in Harlem who right now who would never ever listen to Midnight Marauders, I don’t give a fuck what you do, they’ll never listen to Q-Tip and they want to be rappers and they want to talk about positive things. So why would you shoot them down?â€
“It’s like, ‘Oh, you ain’t never listened to Midnight Marauders? You ain’t expanding your horizons? Oh, you ain’t real’ cause they did that shit to me! ‘Oh Lupe, that’s fucked up man, I don’t fuck with you now! I’m not buying your next album’ and be dead serious! It made me feel like, ‘You dirty bastards! Like how dare you hypocritical.â€
“Those hip hop elitists who think [Tribe] hold the crown and the copyright to hip hop,†he says. “I listen to 8Ball & MJG and I think they’re better than you [Tribe].â€

First of all, he really needs to sit down and behave himself! A lot of people still don’t know who the fu*k he his and being ignorant and speaking out of turn will only make your bi-polar ass look dumb. I have seen some weird occurrences with Lupe lately and this outburst has proven my point that this simple nigro has lost his mind! I used to feel sorry for Lupe but now I am no longer interested in his Pimp C like tirades.
